"All Scripture is God-breathed..."
"All Scripture is God-breathed..."
~2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
It is incredible how much power their is in His Word. When we read the Word as if it were our own words, it becomes real. I have experienced this. There are so many promises in the Bible, and in "claiming" the Bible promises (His Word) over your life, you are creating an environment of faith, which allows Him to manifest. Train yourself to read the Word daily. When you find a section that is amazing and you can identify with it, change it so you can claim it for your own life or for others. e.g. "Abba, Father, you said I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I claim that now over my life. I know I can do all things through you Who strengthens me. Thank you, Jesus, for your promises".
The Bible is the word of God. Matthew 4:4 says, "It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God" (NIV). Scriptures are God-breathed, and God's breath has power. Job 34:14-15 reminds us that if God "withdrew his spirit and breath, all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to the dust" (NIV). We are spiritually fed when we learn the word of God. We are to read God's word and believe it. Not only are we to read and believe, but in order for us to live our best lives, we must apply the scriptures to our daily lives. Knowledge is useless unless we can use it to help ourselves and others. May we be doers of God's mighty word.
